Documentation for assistants

This documentation is also available to AI assistants through MCP. An assistant that is connected can search these pages, browse them and read any section, so it can answer questions about Voxt from the documentation instead of from memory.

This is a different server from the Voxt MCP server. That one acts as your account, in your chats. The documentation server only reads these pages: it needs no account and no key, and it cannot see or change anything in Voxt.

Connect

The address is https://docs.voxt.ai/mcp. In Claude Code, run:

bash
claude mcp add --transport http voxt-docs https://docs.voxt.ai/mcp

Other assistants have a settings page for remote MCP servers or connectors. Enter the same address and leave the authentication empty.

Tools

ToolArgumentsWhat it returns
introNoneA short introduction to Voxt and to how the documentation is organized. Call it first.
list_pagesprefix: optional route prefix such as users/chats or developers/mcpEvery page, as a tree, with its route, title and a one-line summary.
searchquery: keywords; limit: 1–20, default 10Ranked sections with their exact anchors, such as users/chats/#import-a-chat-s-history.
getanchor: an anchor from search or list_pages, or a full documentation addressThe Markdown of that section. A long section returns its sub-headings as links to fetch one by one.
search_expandedquery: keywords; limit: 1–10, default 5The matching sections with their full text.

A typical conversation: the assistant calls search with "import chat history", reads the anchors it returns, calls get for the best one, and follows the links in the text to related pages. Links in the returned text are full addresses of this site.

What it contains

The server holds the published pages of this site, the user guide and the developer guide, exactly as you read them. Pictures appear as one-line descriptions. It is rebuilt with the site, so it matches the pages you see.
